Platinum Club Meeting

PLATINUM CLUB: The Platinum Club will meet on Wednesday, February 20, 12:30 p.m., for a presentation by Cindi Goldhaber, our Parish Music Director. A catered lunch will be provided for members. The Platinum Club is open to all parishioners age 55 and above and their spouses.

OPPORTUNITY FOR EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST FOR ALTERCARE OR OTHERS WHO MAY BE INTERESTED: We have a need for an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist to distribute Holy Communion to the permanent and temporary residents of AlterCare on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Protecting God's Children

PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN: Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, our parish will be host a “Protecting God’s Children” awareness session. We will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The session is held in the lower-level Social Hall. Protecting God’s Children is a mandatory program for all who work or volunteer with children in any capacity, i.e. PSR, Choir, Commission members, Youth Group volunteers, Sacristans, etc. in our diocese. Prayer Intentions Needed

PRAYER INTENTIONS NEEDED: The St. John XXIII High School Youth Group will be praying for the special intentions of our parish during our Lock-In on January 20. If you have any special intentions that you would like to include, there is a box and slips of paper on the table in the gathering space for those requests. The Youth will be spending time in the church throughout the night praying for those special intentions.

UPCOMING YOUTH HIGH SCHOOL EVENT Sunday, January 20 – HS Lock-In Event: St. John XXII Youth Group will be hosting a Lock-In for all HS students and 8th Graders beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20. The event will conclude on Monday morning, January 21st, at 8:00 a.m. (This is the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.) ST. JOHN XXII YOUTH GROUP NEEDS YOUNG ADULT VOLUNTEERS: The St. John XXIII Youth Group is looking for young adults who would be interested in helping with our MS or HS Youth Program. We have amazing youth within our parish community and they would love to have their faith enriched by the mentoring from the Young Adults in our parish. Our HS group meets on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Our MS group meets on the 3rd Sunday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Protecting God’ Children training and a background check are requirements, but there are many opportunities within the Columbus area to complete this training...
