  ST. JOHN XXIII CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY AND CHILDREN’S CHOIR 5:00 P.M. MASS We are expanding our singers at the 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass to invite and include either children or entire families that would like to sing as a choir for the special celebration of Christmas.   The month of November is a traditional time to pray for the souls in Purgatory. During this month, the parish Death Register will be carried in procession and displayed during the Sunday liturgies. This book contains the names of all those whose funerals were celebrated at St. John XXIII. There will also be a display in the Gathering Space for you to write the names of deceased relatives and friends you would like remembered. These names will be included in the Prayer of the Faithful.   November 1, All Saints Day, falls on a Saturday this year. When a Holy Day of Obligation falls on a Saturday or Monday, the obligation to attend Mass is lifted. Never-the-less, we will observe this great feast day with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1. Attendance is encouraged, but optional.
