Fall Bonfire

PARISH ACTIVITIES COMMISSION PLANS A FALL BONFIRE: Please join us at the shelter house on Saturday, October 14th, immediately following the 5:00 p.m. Mass for our Fall Bonfire. BABY BOTTLE FOR PREGNANCY DECISION HEALTH CENTERS: Once again, we are helping to raise awareness by grabbing a baby bottle after Mass this weekend, October 7/8. Filling it with your loose change, cash or check will directly support the free, life-saving programs offered at the seven area Pregnancy Decision Health Centers. The bottles will be collected during the month and the final pick-up will be after the weekend of October 28/29. The Bottle Program is a great way to get the entire family involved. FIRST ANNUAL TRUNK-OR-TREAT EVENT: The Knights of Columbus is hosting the First Annual Trunk-or-Treat Event on October 29, from 2:30- 4:00 p.m. in the parking lot and social hall of St. John XXIII. Trunk-or- Treat is an opportunity to provide a safe “trick-or-treat” experience to our parish’s youth while providing fellowship within our parish community. Platinum Clube - Bingo

PLATINUM CLUB: On Wednesday, October 18, 7:00 p.m., the Platinum Club will host a Bingo game for the members. Prizes will be awarded and snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door. The Platinum Club is open to all parishioners 55 years and above.

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are looking for adults and youth, 6th grade or older. The commitment is only one hour each month, during the 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. Masses. This is a very rewarding ministry, you get to play with the children and give their parents the opportunity to attend Mass. FALL 2017 ADULT BIBLE STUDY “WILD GOOSE”: The Wild Goose is a Bible Study that focuses on the power of the Holy Spirit. This study is on the Formed website and is hosted by Father Dave Pivonka, who teaches how to call on the Holy Spirit to guide us through our daily lives. The study began on Thursday, September 21. The Tuesday session begins September 26, at 1:00 p.m. This is a 14-week course that will end in February. There will be a break for the holidays. There will be a $10.00 fee for the study journal. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS: Please do not park on the grass as it damages the grass and puts ruts in the ground. In addition to our parking lots, Tri-County Medical Center has graciously allowed us to use their lots for our Saturday and Sunday Masses, since 2004. There is a walkway between their lots and ours. We thank you for your help and cooperation.
