6 STONE JARS AT SIX : Jesus’ first miracle was to turn 6 stone jars of water into wine at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11). 6 Stone Jars at Six is an opportunity for parishioners and guests to meet one another and socialize after the Saturday evening Mass. Wine and cheese will be served as well as nonalcoholic beverages. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and meet your fellow parishioners. The first gathering is scheduled for Saturday, January 5th immediately following the 5:00 Vigil Mass.

Platinum Club 'Come to the Races'! - On Sunday January 13, 2:00 p.m., the Platinum Club will be going to the horse races in the lower level of the church. Post time is 2:30 p.m. sharp. BYOB. Snacks will be provided. Admission is $5.00 Come join the fun! The Platinum Club is open to all parishioners 55 years of age and above and their spouses.

SANDWICH SATURDAY: Sandwich Saturday will be the fifth Saturday, December 29, 2018. Due to the Christmas Holiday, St. Lawrence Haven is closed until January 2, 2019. CHRISTMAS “GIVING TREE”: A special thank-you to the generosity of our parishioners. We were able to help seven families, which included 32 children in our area through the Canal Winchester Human Services. That means we collected 224 gifts plus $3,000.00 in gift certificates. Also a big thank-you for all the volunteers.

Bethlehem on Broad

BETHLEHEM ON BROAD: We begin by thanking you for participating in the outreach to provide Christmas dinner and Christmas Day festivities for the homeless and less fortunate. Our parish has been involved with Bethlehem on Broad since we began 18 years ago by providing the turkeys, hams and desserts used for this dinner. Members of the Christian Service & Social Concerns Commission will be passing out the turkey, cake and pie pans with the instruction sheet after the Masses the weekends of December 8 and 9 and 15 and 16. We ask that you return the items on Saturday, December 22, between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

Baking Event – The Ronald McDonald House December 8 (1:00-3:00 p.m.) or December 9 (1:00-3:00 p.m.) On December 8 (1:00-3:00 p.m.) and December 9th (1:00-3:00 p.m.), we will taking groups of youth (MS and HS) and their families, if desired, down to the Ronald McDonald House to bake for the residents. This has been a quarterly ongoing service project for our youth and is a great way to earn some service hours for Confirmation, NHS or other organizations. COME AND SING WITH THE CHILDREN AND FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS EVE: This is an invitation for children and their parents (if they’d like) to join the Music Ministry at the 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass this year.
