Lenten Observances

LENT: There are three Traditional Lenten observances: 1. Prayer Person at home prepares by reading the Scripture prior to Sunday Mass, in addition to other personal prayer such as meditation, Rosary, spiritual readings, etc. 2. Fasting The following regulations of fast and abstinence for Catholics provide an opportunity for us to be united with the entire Church in offering this form of prayer: All Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence. YOUTH GROUP HS EVENT - DCYC

UPCOMING YOUTH HS EVENT – DCYC: March 10, 10:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. The Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC) is a one-day high school conference in the Diocese of Columbus, for youth in grades 9th-12th. This year the conference will be held at Bishop Watterson High School. The gathering includes workshops and activities geared towards high schoolers, as well as keynote speakers, Reconciliation, Adoration, praise and worship by Station 14, prayer, parish group time, lunch and will conclude with Sunday Mass, beginning around 4:30 p.m. Signups are now open for the conference and we will be registering everyone as a grou...

UPCOMING YOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS UPCOMING YOUTH MS EVENT – BOSCO BASH: March 9, 2:30-8:00 p.m. Annual Bosco Bash Middle School Youth Rally will be held at Bishop Watterson High School on Saturday, March 9th. This is open for all students in Grades 6-8. Signups are now open for the rally and we will be registering everyone as a group, so please notify Stacy Ewert if interested. All parents/guardians of children in the second grade or older who have not made their First Holy Communion are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. At this meeting, workbooks for the children, as well as a family guide for the workbook, will be distributed to the parents.
