COLLECTION ON HOLY THURSDAY

Posted on March 30, 2015

We do not pass the basket on Holy Thursday. The collection of food, rice bowls, loose cash and envelopes are to be brought forward during Mass on Holy Thursday and put in the containers provided. This collection benefits three charities. All food items will go to the Community Food Pantry, the Rice Bowls will go to the Diocese for foreign missions, and the loose cash will go to the Bloom Township Crisis Fund. Our High School and Junior High Youth Group members volunteer to sort and deliver the food to the Food Pantry each year. Please be as generous as possible, as many of our brothers and sisters are in need.

The civil engineer has completed his work, the village of Lithopolis has signed off on the drawings, the project is now going out for bids from the contractors (one of which will be chosen by the end of this month), and the work will hopefully be completed by July 1st. The cost estimated by the engineer is under our budget, but we have yet to see the actual bid cost from the contractors.
