  The response to forming a Saint John XXIII Church Women’s Group was outstanding! At our introductory meeting, Liz Logsdon and Lisa Crow volunteered to Co-Chair the group in its initial development. We are very excited to begin exploring our objectives and to establish this new group. ALL women who are interested in participating are welcome!! CONFIRMATION ON JUNE 7th

  At the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, June 7, we will welcome many of our young people to the Sacrament of Confirmation. Because of the many guests that will be with these families, we expect a full church. If you are not involved in the Confirmation, it would be kind of you to attend one of the Sunday Masses, instead of Saturday, so that there will be room for all of our guests.

  It is now time to contact our parishioners who have children in Catholic School regarding the parish subsidy concerning your tuition for next year. We are waiting for the tuition rates for the coming year for the Catholic Elementary Schools in our area to be set, so we may move forward. If your child was in Catholic School last year, Monsignor will send you a letter describing the suggested rates for next year. Maternity

  Maternity clothes will be collected during the month of May for Moms in need. Please help by bringing used or new maternity clothes to the crib in the gathering area. Respect Life members will distribute the clothes to three pregnancy counseling centers: Birthright, Women’s Care Center, and Pregnancy Decision Health Center. There is a great need for maternity clothes and your generosity is truly appreciated.

Saint John XXIII SOFTBALL TEAM

  SOFTBALL TEAM The Pope John XXIII Parish Softball Team will once again take the field. We have a sign-up sheet in the Gathering Space.   Pledge Sunday in conjunction with the Bishop’s Annual Appeal begins this weekend, May 3/4, 2014. We are asking our parishioners to exercise proper stewardship by making a pledge to Parish Offertory, Parish Debt Reduction (Building Fund) and the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Maintaining a proper share of our income for Church support is an important way of keeping our priorities in order and placing our trust in God.
