Catholic Times

  Any parishioner who has paid for their Catholic Times subscription but is not receiving the paper, please call Regina in the parish office to let her know. The Diocese has had some data problems with the Catholic Times program and we discovered that our parish copies have not been received in three weeks and some of our parishioners who paid for the paper have not received them either. Regina has spoken to them and they are rectifying the problem. Our apology for this circumstance.

ROSARY LEADERS NEEDED AT ALTERCARE

  If you have ever felt the urging of the Holy Spirit to step out and minister to others we have an ideal opportunity for you. We are in need of two to three Rosary Prayer Leaders at Altercare in Canal Winchester on Saturday mornings to lead residents in praying the Rosary once a month. The total time commitment is approximately 50 minutes with arrival time at 10:45 a.m. Depending on the weekend schedule, you may be asked to take the residents to the chapel in their wheel chairs.   MONTH OF MAY – SPRING CLEANING MATERIALS: Each month, the Christian Service & Social Concerns Commission has a theme for the “Feed Our Hungry” project. The month of May we are focusing on Spring Cleaning. Some suggestions are Windex, laundry products, bathroom cleaners, furniture polish, and any kind of cleaning products. We have shopping lists with a poster and table display as well as a bin for the cleaning or food items. Please remember they also feed large families, therefore, larger sizes are always welcomed. Pledge Weekend

  Pledge Weekend, in conjunction with the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, began last weekend, April 30/May 1, 2016. We are asking our parishioners to exercise proper stewardship by making a pledge to Parish Offertory, Parish Debt Reduction (Building Fund) and the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Maintaining a proper share of our income for Church support is an important way of keeping our priorities in order and placing our trust in God. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: The first Friday of each month, we have Eucharistic Adoration after the 8:30 a.m. Mass and concluding at 5:00 p.m. with Evening Prayer and Benediction. There is a sign-up sheet is in the Gathering Space with 1-hour times. Please come when you can and leave when you have to. Fr. Denis will be available for Confession during this time.
