Pledge Sunday

PLEDGE SUNDAY: Pledge Sunday is again taking place this spring, in conjunction with the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. We are asking our parishioners to exercise proper stewardship by making a pledge to Parish Offertory, Parish Debt Reduction (Building Fund) and the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Maintaining a proper share of our income for Church support is an important way of keeping our priorities in order and placing our trust in God. We recommend dividing your 10% tithe as follows: 1% for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, 4% for Parish Offertory, 3% for the Building Fund, and 2% for Other Charities. As you prayerfully r...

Pledge Weekend

PLEDGE WEEKEND – We have not been able to get the most recent figures for Pledge Sunday and the BAA. We will provide them in next week’s bulletin. We will begin the budget process in late July, and as we have done in the past and will continue to look at the amount pledged to govern our annual budget for year 2018-2019. CATHOLIC SCHOOL SUBSIDY – We have contacted the Catholic Elementary Schools in our area to determine their tuition rates for the coming year. We will notify our parishioners who had children in Catholic School last year with a copy we send to the school. FORMED FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT – Please join the Faith Formation Commission as they host a family movie night featuring the movie Mother Theresa of Calcutta from the Formed website. Admission is free. The movie night will be held from 7:00-9:00 on Tuesday, June 19 and Tuesday, June 26 in the social hall of the church. The movie will be shown in two separate parts and is suitable for all ages. AN INTRODUCTION TO CENTERING PRAYER WORKSHOP – Please join Adele Sheffieck, MA on Saturday, June 16, from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for a Centering Prayer Workshop. Adele will introduce Centering Prayer which is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us.
