  ABOUT LITURGY Hospitality at liturgy: We usually think of liturgy and hospitality in terms of the obvious liturgical ministry. Greeters welcome us and help us feel at home. Ushers take care of making sure the space is well prepared and comfortable, and seat us if the church is crowded.   SERVICE PROJECT OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR YOUTH: Festival of Friends is next Saturday, June 18, at the Canal Winchester High School. Friends For Life Animal Haven is an Animal Rescue Group in our community. They are looking for youth volunteers at 1:00 p.m., to bring chairs and tables from the school to the field house area for set up. The Festival runs from 4:00-8:00 p.m. We will also need volunteers at 8:00 p.m., to return the chairs and tables back to the school.   Save the Date: Vacation Bible School will be July 24-28, from 6:00-8:15 p.m. The Canal Winchester/Lithopolis Ministerial Association work together to bring a Vacation Bible School to our community each summer.     We will be preparing our summer Liturgical Ministers schedule in the next 10 days. If you know when you will be away on vacation or unable to serve please let Regina know in the parish office so we don’t schedule for those days. Additionally, if you are interested in being a Liturgical Minister as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Greeter/Usher or Altar Server, please call the office and let us know and also let us know what Mass time you would like to serve.   MONTH OF JUNE – “FEED OUR HUNGRY” Each month, the Christian Service and Social Concerns Commission has a theme for the “Feed Our Hungry” project. The month of June, we are focusing on Picnic and Summer Staples. Some suggestions are canned pie fillings (all flavors), canned pork and beans, tea bags, plastic wrap, canned fruits are always needed, especially pineapple We have shopping lists with a poster and table display as well as a bin for the food items.
