This fall, the Women’s Group will continue the Walking with Purpose Bible Study, “Keeping in Balance.” If you are interested in attending, please see the registration forms on the table in the Gathering Space or by contacting Vicky Burns at vickyb10458@gmail.com or 614-554-8988 by July 27. The cost of the book is $45.00 and checks should be made payable to St. John XXIII Parish. There is a basket in the Gathering Space for the completed registration forms. We have shortened the study, no longer watching the DVD, so we will begin on August 21 and it will end on December 4

PARISH PICNIC AUGUST 5 AFTER THE 11:00 A.M. MASS: Let us give our new pastor Fr. Brian O’Connor a rousing welcome on Sunday, August 5, at our Parish Picnic immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Mass. Please bring a dish and a 2-liter bottle of pop to share! If anyone has canopies we can borrow, please bring it anytime that morning before 11:00, so we can set it up. Let us show Fr. ANNUAL SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Did you know that the St. John XXIII Parish Community have students in a wide area of schools: Canal Winchester, Bloom Carroll, Teays Valley, Groveport and Columbus Schools. The cost of school supplies has risen over the past years and families with two, three and four or more children in school find it extremely expensive. This is where our parish families come into play. Each July and early August, we collect school supplies for the local school districts and donate them to those families who have trouble meeting the need. ANNUAL MISSION APPEAL NEXT WEKEND: Father Cesar Santa Crus will be speaking at all Masses next weekend, describing the work of and requesting support for his society, The Missionary Fraternity of Mary of Guatemala. The Mission Office of the Columbus Diocese has invited him to our parish. We will have a second collection next Sunday for our Mission Appeal. Please welcome Fr.
