FALL GROUNDS CLEAN-UP

  Looking for any parishioners to help with cleaning up the grounds in preparation for the winter. We will be meeting Saturday, October 10 at 8:00 a.m. All ages are welcome and service hours can be awarded for any student needing volunteer hours. We will be taking down some dead trees, removing some overgrown weeds, trimming hedges and cleaning up the flower beds. There is a sign-up sheet available in the Gathering space, or feel free to contact Teresa Appel by email (andy. teresa@att.net) or phone (615-772-5234). PARISH REMINDERS - PARKING & MINISTRIES

    • Please do not park on the grass. We have had the use of the Tri-County Medical Center’s lot since opening the building in 2004. There is a walkway between both lots so please, if there is no parking available in our lot, use theirs. We really appreciate your consideration as we try to keep our green space looking nice. • We have a parishioner that is in need of a ride to church for the Saturday Mass. PARKING LOT HELP FOR PSR

  This year we are blessed to have 216 children registered for PSR. We are having some safety issues in our parking lot at dismissal time and could use several volunteers to help position the cars as they enter to pick up their children so we can maintain a safe environment. If you can help between 11:15 and 11:40 a.m. on most Sundays, please contact the parish office and we will forward your information on to the PSR Coordinators.

Protecting God's Children

  In collaboration with the diocesan effort to prevent child sexual abuse, our parish will be hosting a “Protecting God’s Children” awareness session on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The session will be held in the Social Hall. Protecting God’s Children is a mandatory program for all who work or volunteer with children in any capacity, i.e. PSR, Choir, Commission members, Youth Group volunteers, Sacristans, etc., in our diocese. Family Rosary and Ice Cream Social

  Next Sunday, September 27, at 3:00 p.m. we will have a Family Rosary and Ice Cream Social in honor of the World Meeting of Families as Pope Francis visits the United States for the first time. The Pope has called for a Synod on the Family to address the challenges of family life in the modern world. What better way to join in prayer with Pope Frances than to come together as a parish family and ask the Holy Spirit to guide these meetings? FIRST RECONCILIATION MEETING FOR PARENTS

Habitat For Humanity Update

  We are anxiously waiting for our turn to help build the house for Rodney, Heather, Dakota and Rodney, and Jr. Grayson. Because of the rain, the dig had been put on hold for so long but hopefully we are moving forward. They will give us a 2 week notice, so that we will know when we can start our work on the project.
